Deskripsi

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is still a major public health problem at the global, national, and regional levels. This infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis is transmitted through the air and primarily attacks the lungs. At the local level, Pudakpayung Community Health Center has shown a significant upward trend in TB cases, rising from 16 cases in 2021 to 38 cases in 2023 and 2024. Data from 119 patients recorded during the 2021–2024 period reveals that the toddler age group is the most affected, accounting for 45.4% of total cases. Furthermore, the majority of patients are male (60%) , with the highest concentration of cases located in Pudakpayung Village (73.1%). Although the case numbers are increasing, the health center has achieved a 100% treatment coverage rate, with 95% of patients receiving standardized care and 79.8% completing their treatment successfully. Therefore, this study aims to determine the characteristics of TB patients at Pudakpayung Community Health Center to support more targeted prevention and control efforts. Method: Descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional design. The sample in the study was determined using total sampling so that a sample size of 119 respondents was obtained. The location of this study was Pudakpayung Community Health Center.
